What is Base Camp?

Base Camp is the online home for our community of monthly supporters.

Whether our stories have us camping on a glacier, observing bison in the American West, or navigating urban landscapes, we need a solid place—a base camp—to support this whole adventure of creating Threshold. 

It’s not an actual physical place, of course (our team has always been remote), but an important sense of place where our work is supported month after month, season after season.

Making a show like Threshold is time, energy, and resource-intensive, and we couldn’t do it without consistent financial (and moral!) support. Monthly donors have always been vital to our work, and we created Base Camp to build a deeper sense of connection and community with our dedicated supporters. Whether you give $5 or $50 a month, you’re a vital part of keeping Threshold running.

What's in store?

It takes a big community to sustain the Threshold Base Camp all year long, and we want to welcome anyone to pitch their tent in our camp. We recognize that everyone’s situation and motivation for giving are different, and want everyone who commits to monthly giving to feel equally appreciated. We want to celebrate and recognize each person who gives, so we’ve created an online donor wall with a special section just for our Base Camp crew.

Threshold merch!

At your three-month Base Camp anniversary, you’ll receive a free merch item of your choice from the Threshold shop. Choose from our collection of organic cotton logo tees and hoodies, tote bags, baseball caps, and handmade mugs.

YOU HAVE OUR EAR

You’re an important member of our listener base, and we are keen to hear your thoughts, ideas and feedback. We’ll occasionally reach out with polls and questions as we create new seasons of Threshold, launch projects, and plan events. 

 
 
 

A note about Patreon

If you prefer to give monthly on Patreon, you’ll automatically be part of Base Camp. We’ll share Base Camp content on Patreon and send you notifications by email and on Patreon.

 

FAQS

  • All monthly gifts are made to Auricle Productions, the 501c3 nonprofit organization that produces Threshold, and directed to our General Fund which supports the production of Threshold.

  • Yes! Threshold is produced by Auricle Productions, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our EIN is 84-2931585.

  • You should receive a receipt monthly by email when your gift is processed by our third-party payment processor, Givebutter. If you do not receive it or need another one, you can email donate@thresholdpodcast.org and we’ll be happy to send you one.

  • You can increase, change, pause or cancel your monthly donation at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email receipt you received for your last Givebutter charge. It doesn't need to be the most recent one, and you do not need to have a Givebutter login to manage your recurring plan. This will take you to a page where you can view the details of your recurring plan. Click the EDIT PLAN button to make changes. For security reasons, Threshold does not have access to your payment information, but if you need assistance, we can help facilitate a resolution with Givebutter. Send us an email at donate@thresholdpodcast.org if you are having any issue and we’ll be happy to help.

  • Changing your address or contact information can be done through Givebutter, our third-party payment processor. More information can be found here. If you’re having troubles and need assistance, please send us an email at donate@thresholdpodcast.org.

  • Yes, absolutely. A gift in honor or memory of someone is a meaningful tribute and it would be a privilege for us to recognize your gift in this way. You can note any special details about your gift on the gift form or you can email us at donate@thresholdpodcast.org.
